Many people are scared of yoga. They think it's too tough to manage poses of stretching and twisting the body in all impossible ways. It's a bit sad to see this. Because this is not the real meaning of yoga. Yoga is not there to torture you. Yoga is not only for the flexible ones.
Yoga is for everyone. A lot of simple stretching can already give you lots of benefits. Yoga is about the whole being and not simply doing the poses. It's a profound subject which works on the physical, mental, emotional and other subtle levels. It's about how we live our life consciously in order to taste joy and bliss.
What is important is you need to find the right teacher and the ight classes. When you found the right teacher and class, you will feel very relaxed. You are stretching, yet relaxing and enjoying. You feel like coming home.
When you practise yoga regularly, you will see changes in yourself gradually. You will be able to get rid of some old patterns no longer serving you, you will be more stable, less attached, more balanced and allowing. You will become a better person. You will be joyful.
